Moving House In LA- Coast or Inland
If you already live in LA and are looking to move house in the local area you will still be faced with the same dilemma as someone who is moving in from outside the city limits, except you will have the knowledge to make the decision easier. The big question is whether to live near the beach or further inland. Apart from property prices differing greatly, there is much more to take into consideration.
You need to be aware of the fact that visiting the beach for a vacation is completely different to living there permanently, as you don’t have the rough winter weather to contend with. Whereas as the famous inland area of California known as the inland Empire encompasses the Eastern part of Los Angeles and has much to offer the prospective resident.
Both of these areas have a hell of a lot going for them, with decidedly more pros that cons. If you have your heart set on living on the beach and will make good use of the free recreational facilities available on your doorstep then go for it. If, however, you find that the ocean is okay to visit but you prefer greenery and parkland, inland is the perfect place for you to go house hunting.
It is a tough choice, LA is a fabulous place to live and you may well find yourself with the old heart-v-head dilemma. As with all major life decisions, be sensible and go with whichever will improve your quality of life. Go and check out both areas thoroughly, both through the day and after dark. See what amenities are close by and have a chat to the neighbors.
Take your time and you will find your dream home, whichever area it may be in. You don’t want to make any rash decisions as you will be living here a long time and it’s important to make sure you have found the ideal place. Living in LA is a life changing experience, whether it is in a condo near the shore or a 3rd floor apartment further inland, all you need to decide is which one is for you.
